The University of South Carolina Beaufort celebrated the graduation of 107 students on Dec. 16, 2024, in the convocation ceremony for December graduates held on the Bluffton campus.

University of South Carolina Beaufort's Jeremy Smalls is one of a select group of student production assistants gaining real-world experience on the television show "By The River." Smalls, who is from Beaufort, will graduate in May 2022 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. As part of this co-production by South Carolina Educational Television (SCETV) and USCB, he has worked as a camera operator.

Nine students from South Carolina colleges and universities won 2021 Tourism Student Awards for outstanding academic achievement in culinary, hospitality, and tourism studies. Peach, who is from Cumming, Ga., will graduate in May 2022 with a B.A. in Communication Studies. As part of this co-production by South Carolina Educational Television (SCETV) and USCB, she has worked as a content creator.

Sierra Brown, a USCB Nursing student in the Beaufort College Honors program, was awarded the Outstanding First-Year Student of the Year award on April 13.

University of South Carolina Beaufort's Karina Julia Dorris has been selected by the University of South Carolina-Columbia TRIO Department to become a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. Dorris is from Bluffton, SC and graduated from Bluffton High in 2021. She will graduate from USCB in 2025 with a B.S.N. in Nursing.

USCB junior Jazmine Prior has revived the university's "Cheer, Dance, Spirit" club, and the group is full speed ahead this year. Click her name below for the full story!

Moreno Nava, a Nursing major at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, recently won a highly competitive $10,000 scholarship from the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF). She is one of only two nursing students chosen for this award and the only undergraduate. She will graduate from USCB with a B.S.N. in Nursing in May 2023.
